HOPE Community Center empowers adults with disabilities in 4 areas that promote their citizenship:  Education, Recreation, Life Direction, and Community.

HOPE members are encouraged to lead active lives from Special Olympics to hockey to our 2,000 square foot Community Garden. HOPE members engage in physical activities that partner
personal development with a sense of accomplishment and teamwork. Our facility hosts many social events where HOPE members and community come together for fun and friendship.

HOPE’s positive educational environment fosters continuous growth in areas of life-skills and job-skills. HOPE members access educational programming as a part of their daily lifelong learning process. We are continually committed to educating our community in disability awareness through formal
Disability Sensitivity Workshops, volunteer opportunities and community service.

HOPE provides its members with a sense of direction and purpose to their lives.  Essential to every human spirit is having that purpose play itself out in everyday life. At HOPE, being a part of a bigger picture brings value and meaning that enriches the lives of our members not only daily but year after year. Supports are essential to our population in accomplishing this very important and essential task.

HOPE is committed to giving back to its community, for instance, providing volunteer and
internship opportunities for college students has been a mainstay. HOPE Members connect with the community through things such as our community garden, volunteer outings, various teams and clubs and more.  However, getting to know and understand people with disabilities, and what they bring to those who grow to love them, is the greatest of all—true community!
